So, these adhesive pads work perfectly fine on my textured dashboard. That's not the problem. The problem comes with actually preparing them for use as the red sticker refuses to come off without ruining the actual pad. The only time I managed to get it off (slightly ruining the pad) it also caused the pad to lose its adhesive properties. Any other time the pad would stick to itself and become unusable altogether.

Here's what I did to use the pad and have it perfectly flat:
1. Remove the white cover.
2. Carefully stick the pad to your dashboard with the side the white cover was on (it's pretty much as adhesive as the red side).
3. Go over the pad with your fingers ensuring that it fully sticks to your dashboard.
4. Let it sit for a couple of hours to ensure it's properly sticking to your dashboard.
5. Try and remove the red side now, it should be a lot easier as it's already sticking to your dashboard so instead of sticking to itself it will actually let loose of the red side.
6. Put your phone holder on the newly exposed side.

NOTE: This is what worked for me. I cannot guarantee that it will for you!

Bought this for the phone holder I had in my car. The sticky pad it came with lasted about 2 weeks then it started coming loose. I was really disappointed since I really liked the type of phone holder I got. So I got on good ol Amazon who has everything and anything your looking for and found these. They work like a charm! Fixed my problem in no time. Super easy to use. Stuck immediately. It's been for about a week now. And is working great. And the good thing is if it does come off again since it is very hot in Texas thus is a pack. So im ready to replace it at anytime I need to. The price is great! Def recommend this product.

So I bought another mounting product for my phone holder that turned out to be the size of a dime, they did not work. So this time I buy these because it says they are for mounting phone holders. These are about the size of a cup coaster. Way to big. Both of these are user error on my part. It was an easy fix though, I traced the mount on the sticker and cut it out. I think it comes with five stickers. Each sticker will give me maybe five mounting stickers. Enough for a lifetime. So this was a happy accident. They stick so good try not to get your fingers stuck, and definitely make sure where you are mounting it is correct. It will take strength to pull it off and a lot of elbow grease to remove the sticky stuff. They work great, zero complaints to the manufacturer or the sellers.

I got these gel pads so that’s car mount can stick better on my textured dashboard! And it worked! The only thing is that I did struggle a bit to remove the red part of the gel pads, I struggled so much on my first try that the gel pad ended sticking together and I had to throw it away. My second attempt tho was better and I made it work for my dashboard so yay!
