Seems to be a high quality very finely ground charcoal powder, however, I have found several minuscule slivers of some kind of metal. I assume they are from the mechanism they use to powder the charcoal as one was like a spring/coil and I have seen that shape come from a lathe. Since I don't know what kind of metal it is, I can't say if it's harmful to you to swallow them, but I have undoubtedly swallowed several and I'm still alive. I mix a heaping tablespoon into a 16oz water bottle to use with a gut cleanse. I down the bottle and I find a texture similar to a hair on my tongue; when I pick it off to look at it, it's the little shred of metal. Anyway, I think this was the cheapest price, so maybe you get what you pay for a little with the quality control.

Mixed a tiny bit with water and applied to my face. After rinsing, I could see ALL my blackheads, with which I've been dealing since childhood, had been brought up to the very surface. And no, I wasn't just seeing blackened pores. So I used a Biore strip (One can also find a much cheaper brand of pore strips on Amazon.) and it was completely COVERED in repulsive blackheads. COVERED. It was so incredibly satisfying to be rid of those stubborn things. I've always used Biore strips and have been through a couple dozen over the past few months. They've always HELPED, but they've never achieved anything close to what this charcoal did. I want to scream this miracle cure from the rooftops. Also, after using it 3 times on my teeth, they look whiter than they have in 15 years. I'll swear by this stuff for the rest of my life. Attached is a photo of that hideous pore-cleansing strip.

This stuff is pretty awesome! I've been wanting to whiten my teeth, but the Crest strips tend to make my teeth a little sensitive. I drink a lot of coffee and overtime my teeth have became stained so I saw a lot of positive reviews and decided to try this! I must say, in one use you can definitely tell a difference! This stuff is Awesome, I use my regular Toothpaste and just dip my tooth brush in the Charcoal Power, Brush and rinse, my teeth are definitely whiter, and your mouth will feel great. I also add a tea spoon to a table spoon of Coconut Oil Cream and put on my face for 15 to 30 minutes. You know is working your nose starts itching, I even put it on my neck. I'm turning 44 trying to keep my looks up LOL, I also add a table spoon to my foot spa with a cap of Mouth Wash, and a cap of rubbing alcohol. Soak my feet for 30 minutes use a foot rock to take off any dead skin. Feet soft smell so clean, not to mention I feel much better after I do this too.

This is THE best product for curing tummy upset or indigestion. Not to mention, it has amazing teeth whitening properties.

Whenever I have a tummy problem, gas or indigestion this is the CURE! Dissolve one teaspoonful in at least 8 oz of water. Stir and drink. Follow with another full glass of water to be sure you've gotten it all down properly. It virtually is flavorless.

Here is the word of caution: This stuff is MESSY!!! If you even breathe SLIGHTLY near the open container, you will have quite the black mess to wipe up. And it smears easily so don't say you haven't been warned. But it is SO worth it. I love that it is a natural way to help disgestive issues rather than swallowing a bunch of junky pills or chewing on garbage filled tablets. And it works FAST! Give it 15 minutes and you will feel brand new.

When I worked in the pharmacy 25 years ago, we sold activated charcoal tablets to moms who used it for poison control. If a child had swallowed some type of toxin in which it was not extremely critical for them to get to an ER for a stomach pump, this was the go-to. It absorbs all the toxins and poisons.

As for teeth whitening, this is a keeper as well. I get many compliments on my bright teeth. I have a Sonicare toothbrush and dip the brush into a jar I keep in my bathroom and polish away! Mind you, it will look disgusting - it's BLACK! And don't forget the potential mess! The care you take is worth it! You're teeth will be white and your gums healthy. Love this stuff!
