Major relief topically for tumor

After much research, I found that activated charcoal could help alieviate swelling in tumors. I am always hesitant to place a review especially while helping my pup with cancer - perhaps the optimist in me is a bit scared. Needless to say, working with the powder has been a bit messy but no complaints here. For starters my pup has a rare form of cancer that attaches to the nerve sheathing. She was operated on unsuccessfully and the tumor grew back again. In searching for alternatives I came across charcoal - not only does it help internally for cleaning out the body but it's also beneficial for UTI, and topically to alieviate pain and inflammation. The first night I experimented - I ground up some flax meal, mixed an equal part of the charcoal, added water, then a bit of oil and spread it over her shoulder. Okay so I mixed too much and it ended up being about 1/4 to 1/2 thick in some places but the relief for her - unbelievable! She had been crying on and off in between pain meds but nights were the worst. This paste was nothing short of a miracle but I also believe the charcoal internally was helping. Since it cleans and detoxes inside, I was concerned that any pain meds (homepathic) would be flushed out of her system - but that wasn't the case. She seemed to do great for several hours. I have her on a natural raw veggie diet with selected proteins which does help. On the humor side of things............... the 2nd night I put the charcoal mix on, I decided to omit the water and just do oil - only it would fall off everytime I put it on, so I mixed more water and well it formed a ball of goo. 3rd time.I decided to go with just water - well that formed a lovely paste that applied great................ only my Huskie moved from the bedroom to the living room and back - it dried out and got all over her legs, face, bed, carpet and tile. I couldn't care less about the house, all I could do is chuckle at how funny she looked - she looked more like a silver fox than anything. But I was also smiling inside - the relief she gets from this on at night helps her tremendously. So I will be putting on at night and washing off during the day - only I need to reduce how much I am using :) and consider mixing with a small amount of oil - perhaps coconut on the 4th round. We are now making it a permanent staple at home and will give to our rescues if needed. We have encouraged family and friends to keep it for emergencies and also as a detox when pups or humans aren't feeling well. So while I only just purchased this less than a week ago, all I can say is - wow. On the internal side, I had purchased capsules at the pharmacy - a small bottle of 30 cost $27 - but it was worth it considering we could give those to her right away while waiting for the powder to arrive. For some reason my pup also loves to lick this off her legs and willingly will have some in water. We take each day at a time, grateful she's hanging in there and so glad to be able to find her relief. A quick note - we have not used the charcoal on any cysts or openings - just on an area around where here stitches were. I use Turmeric powder on the cysts and where part of her stitching didn't heal. This provides deep relief and seems to be helping overall.

I use the activated charcoal powder. To treat external wounds such as bug bite, wasp sting, blisters on hands, heels, toes, if bubble pops to soon. Scratches, any cut on my skin that is not going to need stitches. Pimples It works well on infections. I will have a tool slip from time to time I will stab my hand with a screwdriver Band-aid 1st aid ointment. And it inevitably gets infected. The A.C. powder has never felled to dry up the infection, I use to pour rubbing alcohol on it. It would kill the infection would have to keep it covered tightly. Because it also killed the good skin cells. Oh and it hurts. My charcoal has never caused me any pain. But it has taken poison ivy oak right out of my skin.
If I get snake bit I will put this on the bite on my way to the hospital. It has so many uses I recommend everybody get some. Those are things I have personally used it for plus other things such as of I made a Impromptu water filter.
If you're gonna make a mask out of activated charcoal do not get it wet and try to breathe through it. Like I said there are so many uses for it it's really ridiculous not to have little bit around the house. Spiders, scorpions, mosquitoes, hornets. Then there all the internal uses Detoxification of your body. Sores in your mouth by to side a your cheek in the next swells up so you keep bitting it. I would not try to use it for a sinus infection or near infection. Just due to how the powder would have to get to the infection and get back out of your body. If can be use in your underwear & socks like you would baby powder.
And I have never had a problem washing the charcoal off of my body anywhere. I have however on more than one occasion could not wipe the dry powder off me and just made it worse evertime I tried. When it mixes with sweat It don't turn black and run down your body. Another cool thing about this when it gets wet or damp if you make little Moisture Packets or canisters For instance I have some little things that I made that I put in my medicine bottles it not only keeps medicine dry but keeps it from stinking. I use some kind of fabric or not, I'm not real sure it's about the same thing as a tea bag. I had a big sheet of this material I cut off what I need I fold it put charcoal in and it glue it shut. When they seem to be damp or whatever they take on the medicine bottle smell. Just a little low heat in the oven and it'll dry all the moisture out of it. It is by no means sterile after you use it. You may be able to wash it in something And then put it on a cookie sheet turn the oven up really high. Seems to me of a kind of work like a dry autoclave. But in all my years of putting it in medicine bottles. I've only had to take each one of them out twice andPut them in the oven. Sorry about the novel I just really got excited.

This stuff really works, I am astonished! This brand is excellent quality & has neatly packaged this fine powdery charcoal. There is foil double seal packaging that protects the product and keeps moisture out. I greatly appreciated the pdf book of uses that came with the purchase as well, it has been so helpful as a reference. As noted by the seller, just message them and they email the book to you immediately after purchase.

Yes, i saw some reviewers complaints about the mess but, as with any fine powdery substance you must take care opening the package and using this dark powder as it will darken any surface- don't use on/near carpet! However, this fine powder is well worth the effort taking care to slowly get it out of the package for ENDLESS uses!! 1) your hair (I just added a bit into my shampoo bottle and Voila! Your hair is so soft & you'll have healthier follicles after your regular washing and conditioning. 2) Whitening teeth
3) Gardening - spreading light bit over top of soil mound on potted plants 4) Houseplants - mixing small amount into water bottle and spritzing base of plants 5) Face scrub - mix with baking soda, let dry .and rinse 6) Face mask 7) antacid - mix 1tsp with 8oz water and drink, follow with straight water (8 oz). I haven't baked with it yet but hope to try soon.

This has started me on an incredible journey of discovery learning all benefits and uses of charcoal and other natural resources. I will continue to use this product, this brand, as a part of my daily regimen.

Re: the previous reviewers complaints of the mess, I put a 'PSA' at the top of my review, lol, so maybe more people will open carefully use and still enjoy this awesome product

The first thing the person thinks of is no way why would I brush my teeth with charcoal. Oh yes I’ve made the mistake of buying a small container only to find out that it stains. This does not. The package says made from hardwood, that is the key. Some other products state the origin of the charcoal, It’s usually some byproduct, of who knows. But it’s stains! I can’t get it off my fingers!
The Zen brand is amazing. Now granted brushing your teeth with this could make a mess of the sink. I dip my toothbrush then bring it in the shower. Believe me it does not stain, it rinses down perfectly. There is no taste whatsoever.
For overall oral hygiene, I highly recommend this brand of charcoal. I occasionally will brush with fluoride toothpaste.

First of all, the packaging of this product sucks! It didn't seal after first opening. The charcoal powder got into the seal so the bag is not really reusable. I had to transfer the whole bag into a few glass jars to store it properly. I was super careful handling the powder since it's so fine. But no matter how careful I was, the powder landed on everywhere and of course I breathed in quite a bit. That left me a lot of cleaning up on the counter and the sink. It makes a mess every single time I take some out to brush my teeth. I make sure I blow my nose after using it and it's always black. I have to use my tongue scraper to scrape my black tongue but still need to use the Waterpik to spray my tongue to get rid of all the charcoal. The powder cleans my teeth well and I can feel my teeth are smoother and they look shinier. However, I'm not sure if it's worthwhile to risk my health breathing in charcoal powder. I only use it once a week but I may just stop using it all together.
