Please be aware that it will not convert DVI-D signals. A DVI-D connection has one horizontal slit only and does not carry analogue signals (VGA)

 

Note:

Examples of chips that support 2560x1440 resolution

Refer to the specification of your card to make sure it supports 2560x1440 or higher at the output to which you intend to connect the monitor. For example, if it is written that your card has a DVI Dual-Link or DVI port that supports 2560x1600, then such a card will do. Some models of monitors have not only DVI, but also other inputs such as DisplayPort, HDMI or VGA. HDMI should be noted especially, as it is limited by the resolution of 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 in many models of monitors and video cards. (Look at the picture)
