Super Klang - Vergleich mit Teufel Bamster XS, Ultimate Ears BOOM 2 und JBL Flip 3

Das Ziel war es einen Bluetooth-Lautsprecher für unterwegs zu haben, mit vertretbarem Gewicht, gutem Klang und einem vernünftigen Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Dabei sollte der Preis unter 100 Euro bleiben. Zur Auswahl standen:
* Ultimate Ears BOOM 2 (Preis 89,00 via Blitzangebot bei amazon)
* Bose Soundlink Micro (Preis 99,00 bei amazon)
* JBL Flip3 (Preis 69,99 bei amazon) und
* Teufel Bamster XS (Preis 69,95 direkt über Teufel)
Alle Geräte wurden zeitgleich bestellt und parallel Probe gehört.

Erster Testkandidat (da schnellste Lieferung) war der Teufel Bamster XS Teufel BAMSTER XS - mobile Bluetooth-Stereo-Speaker .
+ gute Verarbeitung, hochwertige Materialien (u.a. Rahmen aus gebürsteten Aluminium)
+ schickes Design
+ umfangreiches Lieferzubehör (Filztasche, Ladekabel, Klinkenkabel für AUX-Eingang, Karabiner zur Befestigung der Tasche und eine kleine Anti-Rutsch-Matte für den Lautsprecher)
+/- geringe Endlautstärke
- nicht spritzwassergeschützt
- enttäuschender Klang
Der erste Eindruck beim Auspacken war sehr gut. Der Lautsprecher ist sauber verarbeitet und besticht durch eine gute Materialauswahl, duchdachtes Design und praktische Größe.
Leider verflog der gute Eindruck schnell beim Probehören. Erst dauerte es relativ lang, bis der Lautsprecher sich mit Handy bzw. Tablet verbunden hatte. Danach folgte die Enttäuschung beim Klang. Hier kann der Bamster XS nicht überzeugen. Ich bin mir bewusst, dass man von einem Mini-Lautsprecher keine Spitzenleistung erwarten kann, jedoch steht der Name Teufel doch eher für Hörvergnügen, nicht für Hörfrust.
Der Klang ist eher dumpf und lässt saubere Mitten und Höhen vermissen. Auch die maximale Lautstärke fällt eher enttäuschend aus.
Nachdem ich bereits zwei Kopfhörer von Teufel besitze, mit denen ich ganz zufrieden bin, wurde ich vom Bamster enttäuscht.

Zweiter Testkandidat war der Ultimate Ears Boom 2 Ultimate Ears BOOM 2 Bluetooth Lautsprecher (wasserdichter 360°-Sound) - Fresh Cut .

+ wasserfest (laut Hersteller, habe ich jedoch nicht getestet ;-)

Der Lieferumfang des BOOM 2 umfasst den Lautsprecher und ein USB-Ladekabel, ein Klinkenkabel war trotz vorhandener Anschlussmöglichkeit nicht vorhanden. Die Beschreibung fällt eher mau aus, auch der Lautsprecher lässt Anfangs einige Rätsel offen bezüglich Bedienung, da am Gerät selbst keinerlei Beschriftung der einzelnen Bedienelemente vorhanden ist. Also ist eher learning-by-doing angesagt. Auch lässt die Reaktionsfreudigkeit der Tasten etwas zu wünschen übrig, denn sie reagieren recht träge und nur mit etwas "Nachdruck". Die verfügbare App kann hier ein wenig weiterhelfen und gibt ein paar zusätzliche Infos. Auch kann man über die App die Klangeinstellung des Lautsprechers variieren, leider nur mit vier vorgegebenen Klangmustern. Eine individuelle Einstellung ist nicht möglich, trotz Anzeige von Equalizer-Reglern. Auch ermöglicht die App die Kopplung mehrerer Lautsprecher für Stereo-Betrieb, da ich nur einen zur Verfügung hatte konnte ich dies nicht testen.
Aber egal welche Klangeinstellung man wählt, der Lautsprecher enttäuscht klanglich. Er kann laut und kraftvoll die Musik widergeben, auch Bässe kommen in geschlossenen Räumen kräftig beim Höhrer an, dafür ist der BOOM2 auch der größte und schwerste Testkandidat (immerhin ca. 570g laut Küchenwaage). Leider spielen bei Musik nicht nur Bässe eine Rolle. Das Klangbild wirkt insgesamt steril und kalt, Höhen werden etwas zu stark betont, so das längeres Musikhören eher anstrengend, fast schon unangenehm wird. - für einen regulären Preis deutlich jenseits der 100 Euro-Marke ist dieses Klangbild nicht mehr akzeptabel.

Der Bose Soundlink Micro Bose ® SoundLink Micro Bluetooth-Lautsprecher schwarz war Testkandidat drei.

+ saubere Verarbeitung
+/- gewöhnungsbedürftige Haptik
- fehlender AUX-Eingang
- fehlende Abdeckung des Mini-USB-Eingangs
Wie schon an der kurzübersicht der Vor- und Nachteile zu sehen, gibt es über den Bose nur wenig nachteiliges zu berichten. einzig störend ist tatsächlich nur die fehlende Abdeckung des USB-Anschlusses. Ein AUX-Eingang wäre schön gewesen (der Sounlink Micro ist der einzige im Vergleich ohne), jedoch nicht unbedingt notwendig. Auf der Rückseite befindet sich eine Gummi-Schlaufe um den Lautsprecher z.B. am Rucksackgurt zu befestigen (hier fehlt mit ein wenig das Vertrauen auf die Haltbarkeit, das wird jedoch die Zukunft zeigen).
Überrascht hat mich tatsächlich (trotz Angaben in der Beschreibung) die geringe Größe und das gringe Gewicht (ca.270 g). Im Lieferumfang befindet sich eine USB-Ladekabel und ein wenig aussagekräftiges Zettelchen als "Bedienungsanleitung". Immerhin erhält man den Hinweis, dass man sich die App für den Lautsprecher auf sein Mobilgerät laden soll - auf jeden Fall sehr empfehlenswert. Über die App lassen sich alle Funtionen steuern, auch die Tonquelle wird hier automatisch bei Wiedergabe mit eingebunden. Einige Einstellungen am Soundlink Micro lassen sich ebenfalls nur über die App vornehmen, auch hier gilt "learning-by-doing".
Die Verbindung mittels Bluetooth hat übrigens sehr schnell und verblüffend einfach funktioniert. Auch weist der Bose die stabilste Funkverbindung der Lautsprecher im Test auf. Als Einziger überbrückte er die 10 m in der Wohnung durch eine Wand und eine Tür hindurch fast störungsfrei. Auch wenn das Gerät abgeschalten ist bleibt er scheinbar stets auf Empfang (ohne dass sich dies in der Akku-Lebensdauer merklich wiederspiegelt), so reicht die Akrivierung von Bluetooth am Mobilgerät und innerhalb von zwei bis drei Sekunden meldet der Soundlink Micro Arbeitsbereitschaft (auch ohne Nutzung der App).
Nun zum Wichtigsten, der Klang. Der Bose überrascht trotz der geringen Größe mit einem satten, voluminösen Klang, den man einem so kleinen Gerät nicht zutraut. Das Klangbild ist durchweg klar und sauber ohne Verzerrungen. Der Lautsprecher hat das Bose-typische leicht warme Klangbild, welches ich persönlich als recht angenehm empfinde. Auch langes Musikhören wird hier nicht zur Qual für das Gehör. Vom Klang ist der Bose ganz klar mein Favorit.

Der Letzte im Bunde ist der JBL Flip 3 JBL Flip 3 Spritzwasserfester Tragbarer Bluetooth-Lautsprecher mit außerordentlich Kraftvollem Klang im Kompakten Design - Grau .

Zum Lieferumfang gehört auch hier lediglich ein USB-Kabel und ein paar wenig aussagekräftige Heftchen als "Bedienungsanleitung". JBL-empfiehlt ebenfalls den download der App, wobei sich mir der Sinn nicht erschließt. Das einzige, wozu die App genutzt werden kann ist die Kopplung mehrerer Lautsprecher und eine "DJ-Funktion", damit mehrere Nutzer gleichzeitig auf den Lautsprecher zugreifen können?!? - reine Spielerei.
Der JBL ist kleiner als der BOOM 2 und leichter (ca. 450 g), jedoch klar schwerer als die Kontrahenten von Bose und Teufel.
Die Bedienung gibt weniger Rätsel auf als beim BOOM 2, da die vorhandenen Tasten besser gekennzeichnet sind und vor allem besser reagieren.
Die Kopplung via Bluetooth verlief etwas träger und auch nicht sofort auf Anhieb, erst nach drei Versuchen verband sich mein Tablet mit dem Lautsprecher. Der Wechsel der Bluetooth-Quelle stellte sich ebenfalls etwas komplizierter dar als beim Bose Soundlink und klappte nicht immer beim ersten Anlauf. (Vielleicht ist dieses Problem aber auch abhängig vom verwendeten mobilen Endgerät.)
Steht die Verbidung einmal, ist sie relativ stabil, wenn auch nicht ganz so weitreichend wie beim Bose.
Klanglich weiß der JBL Flip 3 aber zu überzeugen. Der Lautsprecher hat ein ähnliche angenehmes und warmes Klangbild wie der Bose, verbunden mit einer etwas höheren Endlautsärke. Die Wiedergabe erfolgt sauber und unverzerrt.

Fazit:
Mein Favorit ist der Bose Soundlink Micro wegen seiner geringen Größe, des hervorragenden Klangs und der guten Konnektivität.
Auf Platz zwei landet ganz klar der JBL Flip 3, er ist in meinen Augen Preis-Leistungs-Sieger, da er (gemeinsam mit dem Bamster XS) unter der 70,- Euro-Marke und damit deutlich unter meinem Preislimit lag. Klanglich wusste er zu überzeugen, am Ende sprachen aber die Verbindungsprobleme und das höhere Gewicht für mich persönlich gegen den JBL.
Platz drei bekommt der Teufel Bamster XS.
Enttäuschend und in meinen Augen zu teuer und zu schwer ist der BOOM 2, daher für mich der Verlierer des Tests.

This is exactly what Bose claim, the best sounding speaker for its size. In fact i prefer this to many other speakers physically bigger and ought to be outclassing its tiny form factor. Obviously you are paying a little for the Bose name and quality, which i think is fair enough, but with that you get their sound signature, which does make for a pleasant EQ that doesn't leave any holes across the spectrum the way others do in exaggerated upper bass or scooped mids. Normally i really dislike 'mono boxes' however good they are but i dont find that with this one at all, surprisingly. I did find that however with its bigger brother (the soundlink colour ii). I think the DSP has been really well tuned and this good EQ is definitely all contributing to that. Now please don't expect to have the bass blow your mind, of course there are physical limitations that even Bose cant work around (yet!) but regardless you'll find it hard not to smile at the performance when the bassline drops. What makes this so wonderful for me, as i travel an awful lot, is the size and weight. There is almost no excuse not to throw it in your bag however little you are traveling with, and the battery life is plenty enough at 6 hours. The magic in this unit is when you're chilling out and just have it sat in the room on the table. Many times now ive found myself enjoying the music i listen to at a comfortable volume whilst browsing the internet on my phone and completely forgetting its there. Then when i look up and see how tiny it is, and just how pleasing and full the sound is, i feel totally reassured about my purchase, ie NO buyer's regret! A little trick in any room if you want to increase the bass is actually to place it in the corner of the room, those low frequencies will suddenly boom a really eye-opening amount, try it if you don't believe me ;-) The fact that you can run two of them in stereo has my purchase finger twitching again, ill be honest. And hey, its amazon, you can always return it (if you need that final push to press the order button - yes im talking to you!) but im pretty this great little bluetooth speaker will be on a one way journey to yours..

I went and compared 3 similar portable speakers with each other (same price of around $100 each):

JBL Flip 4
- Best quality sound of the 3 (amazing quality - very similar to Bose Soundlink Mini)
- No noticeable crackle at max volume with high treble in music
- Strongest/deepest bass (my table was shaking on max volume)
- Very loud max volume

Ultimate Ears WONDERBOOM
- Smaller than JBL 4 but larger than Bose Micro
- Crackling at max volume for some songs with high treble (Was not expecting this)
- Bass is not as strong (very slight bass)
- Very loud max volume (similar to JBL 4)

Bose SoundLink Micro Bluetooth
- Smallest of the 3
- Max sound was at 75% that of JBL 4/Ultimate Ears
- Sounds "muffled" and not clear (quality is not even close to that of Bose Soundlink Mini)
- Exposed charging slot (is this really waterproof?)

Overall - I would pick JBL (amazing quality & very similar to Bose Soundlink Mini, but waterproof!) and Ultimate Ears for portability (75 % size of JBL 4). The Bose Micro, although very small, had really poor quality sound for the price (most disappointing).

Sono abbastanza delusa del prodotto ricevuto.
Ho moltissime cose Bose. È un marchio che ho sempre reputato serio e ho sempre scelto.
Lo conosco bene: le cose Bose durano anni e non ti lasciano mai. In casa ho addirittura un impianto (comprato da mio padre negli anni 70) che fa vibrare i muri! :)

Questa volta però ho ricevuto un prodotto non all’altezza perché:
1- aveva già un segno vicino al jack di ricarica (allego foto) ... Bose è sempre attenta anche ai minimi particolari.
2 - non è presente il SERIAL NUMBER nel foglio della garanzia. vi assicuro è attaccato a ogni prodotto nuovo Bose che ho comprato. Ripeto il brand Bose è attento a ogni particolare.
3- il tasto che serve a spegnere e accendere la cassa è difettoso. Si accende con molta difficoltà. Ho provato a farlo fare ad altre tre persone e la cassa si accende dopo abbastanza insistenza.

Sono molto delusa perché ho sempre reputato Bose l’eccellenza e x la prima volta mi sento presa in giro!

Excitedly received the Bose Soundlink Mini as wanted a good quality great sounding shower speaker (I normally listen to music on my I phone 7 resting on the toilet cistern). It looked a quality item out of the box so I plugged it in to charger cable and linked up the phone and speaker using bluetooth (all very straightforward and easy).

I then selected a track and pressed play..........what the hell is this noise?!!

The bass sounds were so distorted and the trebles sounded distant. I played around with the equalizer settings on the phone and tried all the different settings and still the poor sound kept coming. I know Gary Barlow isn't everyone's cup of tea but even so he deserves better than this speaker!! (sorry a little joke there - I didn't listen to Gary :-D).

The distortion just made listening unbearable, turning the volume down did help a little but then that defeats the object of getting a shower speaker as the voIume was so low that you wouldn't be able to hear it whilst having a shower. Its been out of the box no more than 10 minutes and I've already repackaged and delivered it back via the post office for a refund.

By way of comparison I have a Sonos Play 1 that I use in the kitchen and that was only £50 more expensive but the sound from that is light years ahead compared to this Bose effort. However, the Sonos is not suitable for the shower room as it needs to be plugged into the mains.

In summary......a very Poor speaker for the money and I'm looking forward to receiving my refund.

PS Any recommendations from anyone for better suitable shower speakers would be sppreciated.
