Not worth the money

I ordered two of these. One came it was very very old packaging event or up and look like somebody took it out and put it back in. So of course when they open that one it would not work. So I open the second one and it didn't do half what it said it was supposed to do. The shaving cream never did get hot or warm

I had one of these many years ago. I used it daily for several years until the heating element finally quit. So then I find that now they have one fancy model that is for both foam and gel. Nice sleek canister holder that would look good sitting out on the counter all the time, only it was a piece of junk. I paid around $30 for my HGL1 model. The top would pop off of the gel can and leak shaving gel everywhere. I followed the instructions, and placed the element on top of the can and it would click in place, but when I tried to very gently place the unit down in the canister, most of the time the element would pop off the can and then all of the gel that was in the element would leak every where until it was empty. The tall gel cans aren't cheap and after losing about two cans of gel that piece of junk went in the garbage. I was so happy to find this original unit that I ordered it right away. It has worked like a charm. Nice hot lather every time. I'm not afraid to move it from the vanity top to underneath the sink, the unit stays in place. I am planning to order another one while I can still find one. I will do without if I can't have the original, I'll not pay that kind of money for another piece of junk. Forget all those bells and whistles and fancy looks, Conair should have just left well enough alone.

The only thing my husband asked for Christmas was a shaving gel warmer. So I bought it for a stocking stuffer since the price is so reasonable. I bought him other more expensive items and all he was interested in is this product. He swears by it. Remember, it warms and DOES NOT get super hot. The packaging was great. Arrived here early.
