Worse then my motherboards WiFi antenna's

I bought these as my desktop sits under my table and the antennas on the motherboard are up against the table. I was hoping the new antennas would be able to reach the WiFi better as they are larger and on a 2m cable.

I was sad to find out that at best I could only get a 90mbs speed on the new antennas and allot of latency jumps going between 19ms to 89ms

My onboard WiFi was gettent me 100mbs to 160mbs and always under 30ms latency

Talk about a downgrade, it's clear to me that they only made to look nice and that there is no real magic happening in these antennas.

So by all means if your antennas break then these will probably work, but it's not going to solve any WiFi range or latency issues you might have.

Utterly useless - avoid

Tested on a Windows 10 PC with a Gigabyte Z390 AORUS ULTRA motherboard. Despite multiple attempts at switching port, PC restarts, network resets, router resets etc. I was unable to get this antenna to work satisfactorily. It was rarely able to connect to the Internet, and on the few occasions it did it couldn't get above 25Mbps.

My current USB WiFi adapter (ASUS USB-AC68) consistently achieves 70Mbps on the 5Ghz band.

Returned for a refund - avoid.

Massive improvement in connection

Bought these as was getting nowhere near the speed I should have been on my wifi network, admittedly my computer is tucked away on the floor under a desk so this would have been the reason, as I don't have anywhere else to put the PC I needed to extend the antenna.

These couldn't be easier to install, simply unscrewed the attached antenna that were on my wifi card and screwed these on, the magnetic base for the actual antennas is brilliant and I have no concerns that they will fall off where I have them mounted.

No software downloads required, simply restarted the PC and speed jumped up to where it should be, very happy with this purchase.

This aerial is about five times larger them my current external wifi aerial, so I was hoping it would make a huge difference. The wifi signal did improve in strength, but only by a few per cent so I was disappointed. Nevertheless I have kept the aerial since even a small improvement is better than nothing and it is fairly cheap.
I did manage to get a very strong signal from this aerial if I held it up high in the middle of my office, but that was totally impractical. Perhaps that indicates that the position of the aerial is far more important than the size of the aerial?

Extends your antenna connection away from dead spaces

My PC is tucked against a wall and the mother board had built in WiFi that gets about 20 or 30mbps using the original antenna as the antenna is against the wall and the PC metal case blocking a good signal. With this external antenna I extended the wifi away from the wall and the magnetic base holds it well on the table leg. Since the antenna is now away from the wall and all obstruction it allows the WiFi to work way better getting excellent connection. Now the PC gets 100 to 200mbps speed test and actual link on network adapter is also near 600 to 700. Highly recommended if you have a similar issue with PC against a corner or hidden away behind anything. This really works.
