First off - I bought this chair to replace an IKEA chair that is uncomfortable for long periods of desk work. I hoped this chair would not only provide nice aesthetics but primarily provide a more comfortable and ergonomic feel, however, it's a very mixed bag leaning towards FAIL.
Pros: Looks nice and is easy to assemble
Cons: Build quality is cheap - I've installed the armrests, and one side can support weight, the other side bows to it and makes creaking noises (not ideal for a product new and out of the box). At first, I thought it the screws needed tightening, however, there are only 3, and I checked multiple times and it's not that... it's the design or the wood inside that is preventing it from supporting weight. Next is the padding - it's not comfortable after 10 mins of continuous sitting. Lastly, it will only move up or down - does not recline.
Conclusion: Those of you looking for cheap "executive chairs" beware of branding - Executive Chairs worthy of that title are expensive i.e. Steelcase, and Herman Miller. So if you have the budget - avoid this chair at all costs - if you don't - get this chair along with an orthopedic seat cushion for your tailbone as this chair makes you sore. The later of which I am personally doing, and if that doesn't cut it - it's headed to Dubizzle for a firesale or the dump.
