There is a small divider in the main pouch which makes it hard to get treats out. I just wanted a bag with one compartment so I can reach in and grab a treat. This makes you have to search for them when you start running low on treats.
The elastic closure is nice... BUT... they messed it up! when closed, the bag space it cut in half. Instead of having the elastic run along the top (or even near the top) they ran it in the middle and therefore reduce the main compartment's area by half.
All in all, I am not very happy with this and would not buy it again. It would be fine for my wife but she never trains our dogs. I am looking for something else now.
I don't use the front/poop bag pocket much but I did throw an extra roll of poop bags in there just to have. The inner pouch has two sections which, so far, I've found to be more annoying than functional. I've only filled the larger pocket with treats and sometimes when I go to grab one I'll stick my hand into the smaller, empty, pocket. That makes it take a little bit longer to fish out a treat which can be a bigger deal than it sounds like if you're working on something like leash reactivity and need a quick treat to distract your dog with.
I usually keep the top of the bag open for the same reason. When I need to treat my dog I don't want to have to make him wait while I fumble with the draw string. Leaving the bag open all the time has lead to treats falling out on occasion, and a couple of neighbor's dogs have stuck their noses into the treat pouch to help themselves to a free snack while greeting me. I could probably fix these issues by just closing the pouch but, for me, I'd rather loose a few treats to neighbor's dogs than have to deal with the draw string all the time.
Other than those two issues this has worked fine for us. MUCH more convenient than carrying dog treats around in my pocket, or an old plastic bag, which is what I was doing before I got this.
The bag has a belt clip aas well as a carabiner but I find that it breaks easily and only works on a waistband, a belt being too thick. When new, the hole for the poop bags to feed out of is very tight so I use my thumb to feed the bags through. There are two interior pockets, but I find the smaller of the two to be unhelpful and carefully cut it out. With every day use, I find that it will last about 18-24 months before it wears out.
Can hold a ball, some treats, and poo bags - no problem
Has a carabiner and belt clip for easy attachment
Drawstring keeps treats from falling out and makes them last longer by keeping them fresher
Smaller treats (like Zukes) can be difficult to get at since there is a small pocket that they sometimes get stuck in
Overall, it is a good product, and we use it often - however I still sometimes carry a plain plastic baggy to hold small treats for training.
For a pet supply treat pouch, this is fine. The drawstring option works well for me though like other reviewers, I wish it held more (especially if you want to put a credit card in here) and it can be hard to retrieve a treat quickly. It's most practical for Zuke-sized mini treats; you wouldn't fit many treat bones in here. I thought I would use the internal pocket more but it tends to just flap around and doesn't stay separated from the main compartment. After I replaced the carabiner, I attached it permanently to the leash and refill it every 2-3 outings with my 57 lb dog.
The carabiner and size aren't perfect but my biggest gripe is the design. I train my dog in public, take my dog to outside coffee meetings, and even on my most casual jeans & tee day, this bag just isn't stylish. The outside mesh, logo, and waddled-up scrunchy form could easily be better. When I saw the sleeker, sturdier chalk bags with more options, I thought, "Ohhh -- now that's what I really want!" When I was shopping for pet pouches originally, I thought my selection was limited. But now I realize I just didn't know where to look.
