About Cash On Delivery

You can pay for Cash on Delivery orders using cash at the time of delivery.

Cash on Delivery is available as a payment method for fulfilled by Amazon, Amazon Global Store and some seller fulfilled items. If you have Gift Card balance in your account, you will not see the Cash on Delivery as available payment method. Please deselect Gift Card balance on Payments page and select Cash on Delivery as a payment method to pay using cash.

Cash on Delivery eligibility criteria:


  1. Cash on Delivery orders can be paid only using Cash.
  2. Cash on Delivery cannot be used in conjunction with your Credit card / Debit card, Installments or with the Amazon.ae Gift Card account.
  3. Cash on Delivery will not be available if your order value exceeds 5000 AED.
  4. Cash on Delivery will be available for orders sold by Global Store only when the shipping method selected is Expedited Shipping. It is not available for orders shipped via priority shipping method.
  5. Cash on Delivery will not be available for all Marketplace seller items. Self-ship sellers do not accept Cash on Delivery as payment method.
  6. Cash on Delivery will not be available for Amazon Home Service orders.
  7. Cash on Delivery will not be available at the time of check out due to frequent past order cancellations and delivery refusals.
  8. Cash on Delivery will not be available to purchase extended warranty.
  9. Cash on Delivery is not available for orders shipping to Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman. You can pay using your credit/debit card or Amazon.ae Gift Card balance at the time of checkout.
  10. Cash on Delivery will not be available for Amazon Hub Locker or Counter orders.

To verify your mobile number for COD payment method:

When choosing Cash on Delivery payment method your mobile number needs to be verified on Amazon.

After choosing Cash on Delivery as your delivery method, you will be prompted to enter a One-Time Password that will be sent to the mobile number registered on your account. Once done, click Continue to proceed with your order.

Note:

  • If you verify a mobile number that is already registered on a different account, that other account will be disabled.
  • For steps on changing the mobile number linked to an account, please go to the Change Your Account Settings help page.

In case you do not receive the OTP:

  • Select Resend OTP.
  • Make sure that you have entered your number correctly without any spaces. To edit, click Change.
