Disabling Two-Step Verification

Here's how to disable Amazon's Two-Step Verification, a feature that requires you to enter a unique security code in addition to your password on computers and devices that aren't trusted.

To disable Two-Step Verification:

  1. Go to Your Account and select Login & Security.
  2. Click Edit in the Advanced Security Settings section.
  3. Click Disable Two-Step Verification and you will be prompted for the security code.
  4. Enter the code that was sent to your phone number or generated through the authenticator app and click Verify code.
