PSVR V1 CUH-ZVR1 - Major issues with PS4 Pro
August 11, 2019
I purchased what was described as the 2018 Model, which is the V2 CUH-ZVR2, since that model was released in 2018. Instead I received the V1 CUH-ZVR1 which came out in 2016.
The VR looks great when it works, but since this is the V1, it has major issues with the PS4 Pro that Sony does not acknowledge, but is widely known on the internet. There are constant 'black outs' and glitches in every game I have tried, due to it not being fully compatible with the PS4 Pro.
The PSVR V2 (CUH-ZVR2) does not have this problem, so I have returned the V1, and purchased the V2 (From Amazon UK instead because Amazon AE does not show which is V1 or V2)
So if you have a PS4 Pro (or any PS4), buy the V2, you will have a much better experience and won't have to waste time returning the V1. In retail shops, the V2 can be had for around 1250 AED and it doesn't come with the Move Motion Controllers but personally I would rather have a VR that actually works properly rather than blacking out or glitching every 10 seconds.
