To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Despite all the shortcomings enlisted below, this is a great watch and serves the basic purpose accurately.
The software side of Huawei which runs on the mobile could be improved though. To begin with, you need to create a Huawei ID, which would be based on your geolocation. This is a very confusing process where the site was not working properly for me for creating the ID; often giving me errors in the web browser. Also, they have mixed up phone number and email address very badly as the primary form of identification.
It requires updates to software to get the full feature set. These updates through the mobile are easy to do, but they are not obvious and you might think that there are missing features.
Finally, an important note: the cycle tracking feature for female users isn't available without Huawei HMS Core and their own app gallery. This is a daunting task for most novice users, and some users might have privacy and security concerns with this as well.
After 3 fitbits, which kept dying for no reason, I bought this product as it was hyped quite a lot for being awesome but inexpensive. The watch itself is fine - except that I have developed a rash due to an allergic reaction to the plastic watch back. My biggest frustration is with the app in that the info is in a really small font. The layout and amount of info is inferior to fitbit, especially with regards to sleep. The battery does not last 10 days but lasts longer than the fitbit. It remains to be seen how long this product lasts and if software upgrades improve the look and functionality of the app.
