Good and sturdy, but needs more durable lining material

These are built very solid and stay in place really well; definitely beat the quality of the cheap ones that came with my budget rack by leaps and bounds.

Only issue is that the material on the bottom where the car rests is a hard plastic that doesn't seem to wear very well; it's already wearing down visibly after just a few weeks, and I'm concerned that the screws that hold this material down will soon be exposed and will start scratching my bar. I need to find something more durable to put down over top of this stuff; hoping that will be both successful and also not expensive.

I got these to replace the standard ones that came with my rack.
The fit and quality is very good.
Mine are for a standard 2" x 2" cage and do not have the stupid screw fixing at the back, they also do not scratch the frame ,no sharp edges or screws too long as other reviews.

great j cups. the one and only downfall is the small raised bit that stops the bar from rolling away does not have a plastic covering leaving your bar the chance to get scratched. i put gorilla tape over this part to avoid that and havent had any issues. beisdes that great bang for your buck

I really like the J-Hooks. I like them so much that I ordered a second set and that is the reason behind the 3 star review.

The next order I received, one of the tension knobs that screws in the back had a badly threaded hole that would not let the shaft tighten. I requested a replacement and the next set had one J-Hook that didn't have any padding installed on it.

I tried to find a different J-Hook manufacturer, but Yes4all has the best J-Hook and decided to give it another try. The last order was perfect just like the very first order.

Bottom line, when you get a good set, they are nice, it may take you a few tries, hence my rating.

I use these J-Cups for all my presses and squats or any movement where you rack the bar high and let it slide down. Reason being is the J-Cups are high and protected all the way up so there’s no risk to the bar when racking a bit rough.

However, the fit is pretty loose and they lean forward enough such that the bar always rolls forward, and the lips that catch the bar are bare metal. Not ideal if you have a nice expensive barbell.

For the price, not bad and they do the job. But I will be searching for new cups that better protect my bar.

This sturdy J hook perfectly fits my 2 x 2" rack. I added this picture to show the back knob that you can tighten to make it immobile. For some reason the Amazon product description does not show it, but it was in my package. Be careful to get the correct size, I have a 2x2" rack, but I've also seen 2x3 and 3x3 sizes. The 1" hole that goes through the rack seems to be standard for all of them.

Oh man! Where do i begin? Well, first of all, i have a Fitness Reality rack so i bought some Fitness Reality hooks. They must be for a 3"x2" tube or they're just built poorly. But, seeing how well the rack is built, i know they aren't built poorly. The listing was just incorrect. It said 2"x2" so i ordered the pair. I'm glad i only bought that one pair as now i see the price has dropped 47% down to $30!! 😠
They rattle and clank around, they swing and wobble. They really are just dumb pieces of sh*t.
So i ordered two pairs of these J-hooks from Yes4All mostly because they were only $30, so two pairs were the same price as the one pair of Fitness Reality hooks that don't work properly. The showed up, very quickly, and i was curious to see how they fit. I put them on. OMG what a difference!! They are snug, they are lined with a plastic padding, and they even have a hand-tightening bolt on the back so they do NOT move an inch! I tossed the crappy Fitness Reality hooks in the trash, but my buddy said "Hey try for your money back!" I had them too long to return them since i assumed they were junk at first, but now i know that they just didn't fit due to being the wrong size. I'm soo happy with the Yes4All J-hooks despite always thinking they made cheap crap. I was very wrong with my judgement of Yes4All.
I ordered two pairs, but i still saved them in my "Exercise" list on Amazon since I'm sure I'll buy more, probably two more pairs. I'm thinking I'll set up like this: One on the very front for doing the OHP, one on the back side of the front tubes for doing bench presses, one on the front side of the rear tubes for squats, and one on the back side of the rear tubes to hold my bar when it's not in use. These are awesome.
5 of 5 all day and tomorrow! I am a new customer of Yes4All now.
